Thanks you so much Roy Gibson from MAYDAY DRAIN SERVICES. I was referred to them by the City and would like to give them thumbs up. I have never met such an honest guy. Roy was very punctual with his timing and exact in his details in connection with our backup drain and his quotation for the work. He guided us through the camera and informed us as to the block that had happened and was no longer there anymore. His work was very honest too and would like to recommend him for any drain work that needs to be doing. He also recommended Victor from the Clean Out Drain Services for the new drain that we required at a very reasonable price.

Just planted two beautiful hydrangeas in the front garden -- apparently this is the perfect time to plant them! Plenty of bright sun and rainfall to help them along.

ive been told by clients that they called me because they thought the reviews felt like they were coming from a friend.
also we have gotten work from people who live in other cities but are moving to Ottawa and the internet is the only way for them to find a contractor who can do the work before they move in. homestars has allowed those people to find Jeff Hayes Contracting through the reviews on their site. something that they would not have been able to do at all without the online reviews.

Always good to poke about in an accessible attic, you are able to see whats happening to the belly of the mountain so to speak. With Cathedral/Vaulted ceilings and minimal attic space IE: inches instead of feet looking isn't an option a good roofer is capable of calculating attic space and ventilation requirements without going in. However spotting mild and such is not possible. We have our top 10 things we recommend every home owner do prior to hiring a roofing contractor and in reality regardless of the trade contractor you are hiring there are several things on our list that you should do. and #6 I believe that Gordon is referring to "fly by nights" and sub standard work results in calling a reputable company to come out and fix a mess someone else made because you are unable to get the original guy on the phone anymore. Gordon is down east Calgary is where we are located but "fly bys" are everywhere. The reason it is wise to get references you are able to speak with previous customers and find out how the company did, it is not if something goes wrong it is how the company reacts and how they dealt with the situation at the time that makes all the difference.

I hadn't heard of the first tip. When roofing I didn't know that them looking through the attic was supposed to be standard. And I don't understand number six, what does Murphy's law have to do with references?

I said it before in another stream. The fact that a top contractor has won BOA 3 years in a row with the majority of their reviews being assisted is a disgrace!! There was no way to tell before, but with the new changes by Homestars you can really tell who the REAL best contractors are, the ones with the least amount of "assisted reviews"...shame on you Homestars for giving them the BOA.
